Benjamin Toll, Associate Director of Education at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, shared a post on X/Twitter:
“For colleagues attending the American Association for Cancer Research, we have a Session with the FDA Center for Tobacco Products on Monday 4/8 , at 10:15 am PT in Room 5 (Upper Level).
The session will include recorded remarks from U.S. Senator Richard Durbin and HHS Assistant Secretary for Health, Rachel Levine, as well as live presentations and panel discussions. Brian King, Director of the FDA Center for Tobacco Products, will share the centre’s new strategic plan and progress FDA is making in reducing tobacco-related illness.
Carol McGruder, co-Founder of the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council (AATCLC), will talk about AATCLC’s efforts to ban menthol cigarettes and address tobacco-related disparities
They will be joined by Christine Lovly (Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center), Suchitra Krishnan-Sarin (Yale Cancer Center) and Benjamin Toll (MUSC Hollings Cancer Center) from AACR’s Tobacco Products and Cancer Subcommittee. Please join for an interactive session on addressing the number one cause of cancer.”
