“41,622 Pushups in April (~1380 a Day) to Combat Pancreatic Cancer
John’s beloved wife, Pat, fought valiantly against pancreatic cancer but tragically couldn’t win her battle and left the world on 4-16-22. In her memory, fueled by her wish, John has taken up the mantle to combat this formidable enemy, not just for Pat but for everyone facing this daunting diagnosis.
In the kingdom of love and the powerful battle against cancer, I am continually amazed by the lengths to which individuals will go. Many of us consider ourselves accomplished if we can complete 50 pushups, while others may stretch themselves to a few hundred. However, my friend John Tarantino’s commitment is extraordinary and deeply personal.
In April, on Pat’s memory, John is aiming to complete 41,622 pushups to bring awareness and hope to pancreatic cancer patients. With this daily commitment of approximately 1380 pushups, John is not just challenging his physical limits; he is determined to stand against pancreatic cancer, symbolizing the relentless spirit of his wife’s fight. This effort goes beyond physical exercise; it’s a mission to bring hope and support to those battling pancreatic cancer.
John’s remarkable effort is more than just an athletic feat; it’s a campaign to enlighten, inspire, and mobilize resources for critical pancreatic cancer research. For this important mission, he donated 1 million dollars for pancreatic cancer research. Later, he also started the John and Pat Tarantino Foundation to support Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Join me in wishing John good health and strength to complete 41,622 pushups in April. Please consider supporting his mission to fund research and education. A heartfelt thanks to John for his profound dedication to eliminating pancreatic cancer.”
