Wafik El-Deiry: Honored to be able to testify along with my colleagues for 2024 Rhode Island Senate bill S2394 regarding the importance of data sharing to medical research according to federal standards of oversight and regulation
Wafik El-Deiry, Director of the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University, recently posted on LinkedIn:
“Honored to be able to testify along with my colleagues Gregory Jay, Thomas Chun, Al Dahlberg, and David A. Balasco, Esq. for 2024 Rhode Island Senate bill S2394 regarding the importance of data sharing to medical research according to federal standards of oversight and regulation. I am hopeful the bill will pass this year in the Rhode Island Senate so that we can embark on Research looking into high cancer rates in the state, as well as to learn more about why patients respond or the tumors become resistant to different cancer therapies. This bill is also very important for my colleagues in emergency medicine at Brown and Lifespan.”
