Sandy Cassanelli: Reflecting on Taste the Cure 2024, our hearts are filled with inspiration and empowerment

Sandy Cassanelli, the CEO of Greenough Packaging and Maintenance Supplies and Breast Friends Fund-Funding Research for Metastatic Breast Cancer, shared on LinkedIn:

“Reflecting on Taste the Cure 2024, our hearts are filled with inspiration and empowerment.

It was a privilege to have a sold-out event where Eric Winer and my medical team got to witness firsthand the incredible support our community offers.

With cautious optimism, we share the news that just two weeks after this incredible gathering, our prayers are being answered and we’ve received confirmation that the new treatment is proving effective!
We are filled with hope and gratitude.

I am humbled to share that this year’s Breast Friends Fundraiser achieved a remarkable milestone, raising $205,492 to support our mission of finding a cure to end breast cancer, forever.

Thank you – our amazing friends, family, and community who continue to show up, attend, sponsor, and donate to Taste the Cure.

Can you believe that together, we have raised almost ONE AND HALF MILLION DOLLARS?

These funds continue to fuel Dr. Winer’s groundbreaking cancer research at Yale and the clinical trials that are keeping me and many other women with metastatic cancer alive, with hope for a cure.
Yet, there are still so many that are not as fortunate.

This is why we must keep advocating for research and clinical trials so that one day we can live in a world that is cancer-free.

Living with stage IV breast cancer is not easy but I am here today because of the support of our family, friends, community, and my great faith in God.

Together we will move forward with courage and stay positive.
Your encouragement, prayers, and friendship mean the world to me, Craig, Samantha, and Amanda.
It’s what keeps me alive.

Please keep us in your prayers as you enjoy the beginning of spring!

TOGETHER WE WILL FIND A CURE!

With love and gratitude,

We do have a few auction items that were added late so check out every donation is appreciated! Auction will close Tuesday 4pm.

You can also purchase Napa Valley One Hope Wine and 10% go to Breast Friends Fund until May 4th.”
