“Did you know that stigma prevents 1/3 of mental health patients from getting the care they need? If promoting mental well-being is one of your priorities this 2nd quarter, consider teaching these stigma-combatting practices to your teams and leaders:

Educate and Inform: Organize a monthly webinar series with mental health experts discussing stress management, anxiety, and depression.

Encourage open dialogue: Implement an open-door policy to encourage conversations about mental health without fear of judgment.

Share personal stories: Organize storytelling sessions where employees can voluntarily share their mental health journeys, helping to normalize these discussions.

Promote equality: Ensure there’s comprehensive mental health coverage in your employees’ health benefits. Treat mental health days as seriously as sick days.

Advocate for mental health education: Add modules on recognizing signs of mental distress. Make well-being at work as a part of the onboarding process and ongoing development for your current staff.”
