“It’s never too early to introduce cancer survivorship topics in higher ed – even to non-STEM majors!
Since 2021, I have developed and taught a course on cancer survivorship to non-healthcare professional undergraduate students at UC Irvine. I have measured the impact of the course on 3 cohorts of undergraduates who were majoring in different areas, ranging from performance arts to criminology to pharmaceutical sciences! The findings are published in Supportive Care in Cancer – see below for the URL to the publication!”
