“Cecelia Calhoun, Medical Director of the Adult Sickle Cell Program, welcomed members of the American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter to Smilow Cancer Hospital to discuss partnering to bring awareness and increase diversity in the blood donation pool.

Dr. Calhoun met with (left to right) Lauren Smith, Regional Director, of Divisional Immunohematology; Dr. Fay West, Regional Medical Director; Cheryl Engels, member of the American Red Cross Board of Directors; Dr. Calhoun Patricia Sablitz, Regional Donor Services Executive; Alicia Carpenter-Cummings, Donor Recruitment Account Manager, and Theresa Wolk-Laniewski, Regional Director, Manufacturing, Biomed.

As a show of gratitude and support, Red Cross representatives gifted her with a Challenge Coin.”
