“A new paper on equitable trial methodologies has been published in JAMA Oncology.

Congratulations to the team behind it, including VCCC Alliance Research and Education Lead, A/Prof Craig Underhill, and the Victorian Teletrial Collaborative (VCCC Alliance, Regional Trials Network – Victoria and Alfred Health TrialHub).

The paper defines and outlines differences and nuances in trial terminology including teletrials, networked trials and decentralised trials to encourage consistent messaging and language in these growing trial methodologies. These trials aim to improve accessibility of clinical trials, particularly in the regions as well as creating networks of trial units across the state.
