Mukhtasar Malcolm Alkali: Commemorating International Women’s Day, where an NGO generously supported a PHC Facility in Gwarimpa Village, with a customized tricycle to serve as an Ambulance
Mukhtasar Malcolm Alkali, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Medicaid Cancer Foundation, recently shared on X:
“Today, I participated in a program commemorating International Women’s Day, where an NGO generously supported a PHC Facility in Gwarimpa Village, with a customized tricycle to serve as an Ambulance. It’s disheartening that our elected representatives in Nigeria often overlook such vital initiatives that directly benefit their constituents. Access to healthcare shouldn’t be a luxury in the 21st century, yet women continue to suffer and even die due to lack of access to essential services and care. The enthusiasm among the women in the community was palpable wallahi. they were genuinely thrilled about the initiative. Well done Salamatu Garba.”
