Lawrence Young, Professor of Molecular Oncology and Director of the Warwick Cancer Research Centre at the University of Warwick, recently posted on X/Twitter:
“Tony Epstein’s obituary in today’s Times. It captures the amazing story of EBV’s discovery but fails to highlight the role of the virus in different cancers and diseases like multiple sclerosis. EBV has significantly enhanced our understanding of cancer, virology, and immunology.”
