Last week at our Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Westchester site we celebrated the contributions of Roberto Lopez, Patient Care Technician in the Symptom Care Clinic. Roberto’s nomination exemplified what it means to demonstrate empathy, compassion, teamwork, and professionalism for those patients he cares for as well as his colleagues. One person wrote, ‘He is reliable, competent, and willing,’ while another shared, ‘He is truly interested in making an impact from the beginning of his visit with a patient.
