Digestive Cancers Europe Launched New Book “The Last Thing I Expected at This Age”
Digestive Cancers Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:
“‘The Last Thing I Expected at This Age‘ is our new book, launched last week at the DiCE 10th Masterclass in Barcelona.
It shares the personal stories of 15 young adults diagnosed with digestive cancer. Many of them faced delays and misdiagnoses simply because of their age.
These stories reflect the emotional and practical challenges of living with cancer during a time that should be full of opportunity, whether that’s starting a career, studying, or building a family. They are a powerful reminder that cancer can affect anyone, regardless of their age.
Some of the voices in this book are no longer with us. We honour them by continuing to raise awareness.
Thank you to everyone who shared their experience. Your words will help others be heard and hopefully diagnosed earlier.
Read, reflect, and share.”
