“This week, I’m going to talk a lot about National Mentoring Month. Mentorship is critical to any organization. We think about mentorship for trainees, but every member of the team needs mentorship to continue to develop their skills and capabilities.

Like an NBA basketball team – even the star players work with the coach, practice, review their plays, and discuss their plans on and off the court.

I like to remind folks that mentorship is a two-way street: for the mentee, it’s not just how the mentor can impact your life, but how you can help your mentor reach their own goals. Speaking from experience, the mentor-mentee relationship can be empowering on both sides.”
