Liz Kwo: Life is about perspective and how you choose to look at things
Liz Kwo,
shared on their LinkedIn page:”During my last year of college, as I worked to juggle the huge amount of class work I had, a job, and a social life, I was becoming very stressed. So I decided to generate a create a to-do list on my phone that I could refer to whenever I wanted to. This saved my life.
I created and updated a list of things I needed to do, conversations I needed to have, or meeting agenda topics. On Sunday nights I did a full account and updated it every few days. I would review it while waiting in line at the post office or in breaks between lectures. This helped me recall things that I didn’t do, even small tasks, such as paying a bill, writing a thank you card, getting someone a gift, or picking up dry cleaning. In work meetings, I had agendas ready from creative ideas that I jotted down and accumulated over time. Even now, I have an updated process with phone screenshots or a voice recording.
My philosophy was that if I completed just half of the things on that list, I was productive. Sometimes I would delete items if they became obsolete or move them to longer term plans to accomplish. This small amount of organization turned a heavy and confusing work load into a manageable list of solutions and inspiration for action.
Life is about perspective and how you choose to look at things. With a tiny angle change, or tiny list, you could see yourself accomplishing anything.”
