“The UK lung health check programme diagnosed 3000 cases of lung cancer so far – despite being still a regional program, and national expansion ongoing.
For the vast majority of these patients, the early diagnosis was life-saving.”
Quoting UK Lung Cancer Coalition‘s post:
“It has recently been reported that the NHS lung health check programme has now diagnosed almost 3,000 people with lung cancer – three quarters at stage one or two.
The programme involves mobile trucks that go into the heart of communities to offer checks at shopping centres and supermarket car parks.
