Mohamed Elazab Announced “From Early On, You’re Safe” – A Comprehensive Cancer Prevention Campaign in Kafr El-Sheikh

“Launching Soon: “From Early On, You’re Safe” – A Comprehensive Cancer Prevention Campaign in Kafr El-Sheikh

We’re proud to announce the upcoming launch of the “From Early On, You’re Safe” campaign in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, from June 14 to June 19, 2025, under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Prof. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister for Public Health Initiatives.

This national campaign focuses on raising awareness and providing early screening for breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, and cervical cancer.

For the first time in Kafr El-Sheikh, the HPV vaccine will be provided to girls aged 9–15, as part of efforts to eliminate cervical cancer in Egypt.

Campaign hubs will include:
• Kafr El-Sheikh General Hospital
• Desouk Hospital
• Biyala Hospital

In preparation, meetings were held with local leadership including the Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, the Director of the Health Directorate, and teams from national health initiatives. Medical teams and rural health workers have also been trained to support outreach and service delivery.
