Meet The Translational and Therapeutic Research in Pancreatic Cancer Team at Cancer Research Centre of Marseille – AFRCP
French Association for Pancreatic Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Meet the ‘Translational and Therapeutic Research in Pancreatic Cancer’ team at CRCM – Cancer Research Centre of Marseille, led by Nelson Dusetti and Juan Iovanna.
This multidisciplinary team of 40+ researchers and clinicians combines lab science and clinical expertise to better understand and fight pancreatic cancer.
Their main research areas:
How cancer cells survive and resist treatment (targeting NUPR1)
How cancer cells stick and spread (cadherins)
Personalized medicine to adapt therapies to each patient
The role of abnormal sugars on cancer cell surfaces
Small chemical changes that make tumors more resistant
New strategies for the toughest, most resistant cancers
The team collaborates with hospitals, international partners, and industry to turn discoveries into real benefits for patients.
Their goal: smarter, more personalized, and more effective treatments for pancreatic cancer.”
Nelson Dusetti, Head of the Translational Research and Innovative Therapies Department at the Cancer Research Centre of Marseille (CRCM), shared this post, adding:
“Thank you for highlighting our team and our commitment to advancing pancreatic cancer research!
The AFRCP (French Association for Pancreatic Cancer Research) is a national non-profit organization that brings together researchers, clinicians, and institutions across France to accelerate progress against pancreatic cancer.
