Dana Bryson Highlights ACT for Children’s Progress in Expanding Pediatric Cancer Access
Dana Bryson, Senior Vice President, Social Impact at Study.com, shared a post by World Child Cancer USA on LinkedIn, adding:
“Last week in Budapest, something meaningful happened.
Together with an extraordinary coalition of partners, we took another bold step forward to ensure that children with cancer – specifically Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)—in 15 low-income countries have a real chance at life.
In just nine months, we’ve already delivered over $4 million worth of life-saving medicines to five countries so we are well on our way. But this isn’t just about numbers—it’s about the children who will see their next birthday, graduate from school, and grow into adulthood because of this work.
We’re guided by the expertise of pediatric oncologists and the voices of local communities. Every decision is shaped by those closest to the challenge—and closest to the hope.
Next stop: Tanzania in July.”
Quoting World Child Cancer USA‘s post:
“Earlier this year, we proudly joined Access Cancer Treatment (ACT) for Children—a collaborative initiative aligned with the WHO CureAll framework to address inequities in pediatric cancer care across LMICs.
Last week, we came together for the first partners’ meeting to reflect on our shared journey and shape the road ahead. What stood out was the unwavering commitment, deep collaboration, and compassion each partner brings to this mission.
In just 3 months, this powerful collaboration has delivered $2.3 million worth of quality-assured essential medicines—at no cost—to four childhood cancer centers across Asia and Central America…and we’re just getting started.”
