Global Summit on War and Cancer 2023: Tezer Kutluk’s speech on cancer control in crisis
The 1st Global Summit on War and Cancer took place on 14 – 16 December, 2023. It was organized by the Institute of Cancer and Crisis and OncoDaily. Renowned healthcare specialists from all over the world came together to discuss cancer issues at the time of war.
We were honored to have Tezer Kutluk, a Professor at Pediatric Department of the Pediatric Oncology Division at Hacettee University Faculty of Medicine and Cancer Institute, as a speaker during the Summit where he discussed cancer control in crisis.
Prof. Kutluk’s presentation centered on migration, and examples of cancer control implementation in the Middle East and Eastern European regions. Prof. Kutluk also presented about UICC Solidarity Fund for Ukraine and examples of its involvement in action.
Professor Tezer Kutluk is the Chair of the Pediatric Department of the Pediatric Oncology Division at Hacettee University Faculty of Medicine and Cancer Institute. He is the Past President several notorious organizations such as of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), European Cancer Leagues (ECL), and Turkish Association for Cancer Research and Control.
