Alejandra Mendez: I’m deeply honored to be part of the expert committee for My Child Matters (MCM) program
Alejandra Mendez, Vice President and Board of Trustees member at Childhood Cancer International, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Foundation S – The Sanofi Collective is the philanthropic arm of Sanofi, launched in May 2022 to tackle global health challenges through community-driven solutions, strong partnerships, and collective action.
The My Child Matters (MCM) program, was created to address the stark geographic disparities in childhood cancer survival rates and to provide vital support to children with cancer and their families. Dedicated to transforming pediatric cancer care in low- and middle-income countries, MCM works hand-in-hand with local health systems, NGOs, and both regional and international partners to tailor resources to local needs and strengthen pediatric oncology services. Since its inception, the program has supported more than 120,000 children with cancer and has trained over 50,000 healthcare professionals around the world.
I’m deeply honored to be part of the expert committee for this impactful program. Thank you, Foundation S, for giving a voice to the parents of children with cancer. I’m truly grateful for your commitment to including our perspective in this vital conversation.
Last week, the MCM expert committee met in Paris to select the new projects that will be supported by the program—and we also had the joy of celebrating 20 years of Foundation S!”
