Foorquan Hashmi: Today is a powerful reminder that health is something we all deserve

“World Health Day 2025 | My Health, My Right.
Today is a powerful reminder that health is something we all deserve—not something we should have to fight for.
Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, doctor, nurse, researcher, policymaker—or just someone trying to make it through the day—we’re all connected by the same truth: health is the foundation of everything.
This year’s World Health Day theme, “My Health, My Right,” hits close to home. Because I’ve seen what happens when people are denied care. And I’ve also seen the incredible difference that access, empathy, and innovation can make.
From rural clinics to cancer centers, from mental health hotlines to global conferences—people everywhere are doing the hard, important work of making health a reality, not a luxury.
Let’s keep pushing.
Key Takeaways:
- Everyone deserves the right to live a healthy life—regardless of who they are or where they live.
- Innovation is meaningless if it doesn’t reach the people who need it most.
- We can’t talk about health without including mental health.
- Change starts with us—small actions can create big waves.
Let’s make today more than just a hashtag. Let’s make it a promise to build a healthier, more just world—for everyone.”
