“National Minority Health Month is a time to shine a light on breast cancer disparities—but at BCRF, our commitment to advancing equity in research and breast cancer care is year-round.
Communities of colour continue to face worse breast cancer outcomes due to complex factors like access to care, tumor biology, and systemic inequities. BCRF-funded researchers are dedicated to understanding these disparities and closing the gap.
