Calling on European Institutions and governments to invest in the cancer workforce – European Cancer Organisation
European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Too few hands to tackle the cancer burden in Europe.
Across Europe, health systems are struggling to fill key positions. Cancer Workforce shortages are putting patients at risk—and affecting cancer care.
That’s why initiatives like HEROES and WHO’s Nursing Action are working across borders to:
- Strengthen workforce planning.
- Support retention and recruitment.
- Improve working conditions and mentoring.
This World Health Worker Week (WHWWeek), we call on European Institutions and governments to invest in the cancer workforce—because every patient deserves timely, high-quality care.
