Gratitude for NIH Leaders: Honoring their Dedication and Impact
Monica Bertagnolli, Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I was often asked how the NIH Director was able to manage such a large agency – funding a research enterprise ranging from fundamental science to health care delivery research to biomedical workforce education – addressing the health needs of all people, everywhere.
The answer is that we could count on the expertise of talented, dedicated leaders who brought comprehensive knowledge of their areas of expertise and the ability to work as a team, strategizing and engaging all those required for sustained progress.
We owe tremendous thanks to Jeanne Marrazzo, Shannon Zenk, Eliseo Pérez-Stable, Diana Bianchi, Vence Bonham, Amy Kelly, Christine Grady, Cliff Lane, Emily Erbelding, Julie Berko, Renate Myles, Tara Schwetz, Eric Green, Mike Lauer and Larry Tabak.
Your departure from NIH leadership is a tremendous loss for everyone who cares about a future where all people live long and healthy lives.”
