Manni Mohyuddin: How to treat myeloma after ASH23
Manni Mohyuddin, Assistant Professor at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, shared a post on X/Twitter:
“How to treat myeloma after American Society of Hematology (ASH23):
- Don’t treat high-risk smouldering.
- Do quads for transplant eligible (but no cd38 maintenance afterwards).
- Don’t do quads or carfilzomib in newly diagnosed frail/older patients.
- Don’t do a salvage autologous stem cell transplant no matter how good the first one was.”
