Today, during our World Radiotherapy Day (WRAD) planning meeting with attendees from across the globe, we officially set September 7, 2025, as the launch date for WRAD. This global movement aims to raise awareness of Radiotherapy as a vital, safe, and effective cancer treatment—and this year, we’re amplifying our message under the theme:
“One Voice for Radiotherapy”
Together, we stand united for:
- One voice for patients to access modern radiotherapy technology.
- One voice for curing cancer and easing suffering with radiotherapy.
- One voice for raising awareness of radiotherapy as a safe, effective, and advancing treatment.
- One workforce voice for well-educated and skilled radiotherapy teams.
- One voice for lasting, cost-effective global cancer control through radiotherapy.
The meeting also featured insightful presentations from Barbara Alicja Jereszek, President-elect of European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) , and Nahla Gafer from AORTIC- Africa , reinforcing the importance of collaboration in advancing radiotherapy worldwide.
