Goodluck Nchasi: I had the privilege of facilitating the Duke East Africa Cancer Collaboration
Goodluck Nchasi, Medical Doctor at Bugando Medical Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“‘Individually, we are one drop; but together, we are an ocean.’ – Ryunosuke Satoro.
I believe collaboration is the cornerstone of progress, particularly in advancing cancer care and research in low-resource countries.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of facilitating the Duke East Africa Cancer Collaboration session with our partner sites, Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute (KCRI), Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC). Together, we identified their strengths, gaps, and potential areas for collaboration in cancer care and research.
A heartfelt thank you to Duke Global Health Institute for supporting our mission to create a multisite collaboration and regional platform for cancer research and knowledge dissemination in East Africa.
Special thanks to Kristin Schroeder for her leadership and to the incredible team Erick Enock, Norbert Mtenga, Innocent H. Peter Uggh, Gustav Nkya for making this event a success.
Together, we are stronger than cancer.”
