Marianne Sarcich: Applications are open for Brushes with Cancer Program
Marianne Sarcich, Founder of Breast Health 101 with Marianne, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Here’s a wonderful opportunity for some emotional healing through art and storytelling for anyone touched by any cancer. I participated in this program, and I received so much emotional healing from it.
Brushes with Cancer is a free program that matches someone who’s been touched by cancer with an artist. And the pair work together for I believe 3 months. The program culminates in an art exhibition and launch party.
And you know what?
Even more beyond the personal healing I received, I love how this non-profit structured it as a pay It forward program. All of the art is auctioned off. The proceeds go to pay the next brushes with cancer program. And they are held across the country.
Applications for the next program, which will be in the Philadelphia area, are now open. You can apply two ways. As what they call the inspiration, who is the person who had cancer or was touched by it. Click on this link Or, as the artist who creates artwork based on the story of the inspiration. And if you have questions, you can email August Spree Twist Out Cancer Program Director at [email protected].”
