Data policy and impact on Cancer Care Continuum by SPCC

SPCC and All.Can collaborated to offer an online training course titled “Efficiency implementation in Cancer Care Continuum: Data, Metrics and best practices.” The course included three educational modules and a live interactive webinar. Key opportunities, challenges, and best practices in Data Policy and Management in Cancer Care were discussed. The session was led by experts in the field, providing valuable insights into the evolving landscape of cancer care and strategies for enhancing patient outcomes.

The Second Module of the course titled “Data policy and impact on Cancer Care Continuum by SPCC” was held on March 13, 2025.

Pietro Presti opened the session by providing an overview of the ongoing challenges and strategies for improving cancer care across Europe. Caroline Berchet gave an insightful presentation on addressing the inequalities in cancer care within the European Union, emphasizing the need for tailored approaches to ensure equitable access to cancer treatment.

Matt Hickey focused on cancer care optimization and performance measurement, presenting various models and providing implementation guides to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes for cancer patients. Marc Van den Bulcke discussed the significant impact of the EU Health Data Space on cancer care, particularly in terms of data management, and how the shared data infrastructure could enhance efficiency in treatment and care processes.

The session concluded with closing remarks by Pietro Presti, who summarized the key takeaways and stressed the importance of continued collaboration and innovation in tackling the challenges of cancer care in Europe. The event offered an in-depth, cross-country perspective on data-driven strategies to improve cancer treatment and reduce disparities.
