Over $850,000 raised for childhood cancer research at Melbourne gala event – the Autumn Ball – Children’s Cancer Institute
Children’s Cancer Institute posted on LinkedIn:
“Congratulations to Tour de Cure Australia for an incredibly successful inaugural Melbourne gala event – the Autumn Ball.
Over $850,000 was raised for childhood cancer research!
We’d especially like to acknowledge Kat Morris who shared her daughter Novalie’s story on stage in front of a 500 strong crowd. While speaking on such a stage is already a huge feat, many people in the room didn’t realize that Kat had just come from the Royal Children’s Hospital, where her daughter had undergone emergency surgery the day before.
Kat, your dedication to raising awareness for the impact of childhood cancer, and your courage to speak while in the midst of yet another challenging setback is beyond words. Kat is pictured in the centre, along with fellow Leukaemia mums, Gin Carpenter and Georgia Reid.
We extend our gratitude and congratulations to the amazing Tour de Cure Gala Team, volunteers, sponsors, generous auction donors, partners, and everyone who purchased tables or donated so generously. Your support is making a real difference!”
