Equitable access to cancer screening requires collaborative action – President’s Cancer Panel
President’s Cancer Panel shared on LinkedIn:
“Gaps in cancer screening mean too many in the U.S. are unnecessarily enduring aggressive treatment or dying from cancers that could have been detected earlier, at more easily treated stages. Equitable access to cancer screening requires collaborative action from all stakeholders, large and small, to improve communication, facilitate access, promote team-based care, and harness technology to support patients and providers – key recommendations highlighted in the Panel’s 2022 report, Closing Gaps in Cancer Screening: Connecting People, Communities, and Systems to Improve Equity and Access.”
