Don Dizon: Commit to the mission of global health equity, especially in cancer care and control
Don Dizon, Director of The Pelvic Malignancies Program at Brown University Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“When I read about the funding cancellations at USAID, the first thing that came to my mind was about the global cancer prevention and clinical trial programs, and that closing then would put people at risk, especially those who trusted us as partners in clinical trials.
One of those people I thought about was Annekathryn Goodman. Imagine my surprise when I ran in to her at breakfast in Bangladesh. We had a lovely conversation and shared concerns about global health. At the end of the day, we continue to believe and commit to the mission Of global health equity, especially in cancer care and control.”
