“Mark and I wrote our annual letter this year about how some of our earliest bets in science are letting us take advantage of this moment in AI. Our path to get here wasn’t always clear, but we knew we needed to start where I could make a unique difference. So we supported scientists asking questions about how cells work and what causes disease, we built tools to make single-cell data more accessible, and we created a new collaborative research model with our Biohubs to tackle big challenges in cell biology. These early bets are now making it possible to take our next step to build AI-powered tools that will help scientists make discoveries about human health and find new treatments for disease.”
