Applauding Idah Phiri’s Visit To Medicaid Cancer Foundation Ahead of the African Womens Cancer Awareness Association Launch In Abuja, Nigeria.
Yesterday, our Communications and Admin. Manager, Idah Phiri had the privilege of visiting the Medicaid Foundation (MF) in Nigeria under Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, an inspiring NGO dedicated to advancing socioeconomic development and expanding cancer support. Originally founded in 2009 as the Medicaid Cancer Foundation, MF has since broadened its reach to provide critical community services.
Following this insightful visit, Idah will be attending the African Womens Cancer Awareness Association launch in Abuja later this week! Idah was invited by the Association in recognition of her leadership and contributions as an African Cancer Youth Leader.
This important initiative aims to ensure that no African woman or man faces cancer alone by strengthening support networks, increasing awareness, and advocating for improved healthcare solutions across the continent.
We’re especially proud that both the Zambian Cancer Society (ZCS) and Medicaid Cancer Foundation are active members of ACHA Africa – the African Cervical Health Alliance, working together to transform cancer care in Africa. This is a powerful reminder that collaboration and networking drive real change!”
