Leon Bernal-Mizrachi will be leaving Winship Cancer Institute after 18 years
Leon Bernal-Mizrachi, Chief of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Winship Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It is with mixed emotions that I share I will be leaving Winship Cancer Institute and Grady Memorial Hospital after 18 wonderful years.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such an extraordinary team at both Grady and WCI, and I take great pride in all that we have accomplished in advancing Grady’s program.
At the same time, I am excited to announce that, starting in April, I will be joining Ruben Mesa, Belinda Avalos, and many other talented colleagues at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, as Chair of the Department of Cancer Medicine in the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.”
Ruben Mesa, President and Executive Director of Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center, reshared the post on LinkedIn, adding:
“Welcome aboard Leon Bernal-Mizrachi we are so excited for you to join us as inaugural Chair of Cancer Medicine for Wake Forest University School of Medicine on our Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Campus!”
