Onyinye Balogun: Sharing about my work in Global (Radiation) Oncology
Onyinye Balogun, Co-Founder of Mission-Driven Tech, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In celebration of World Cancer Week, I am sharing more about my work in Global (Radiation) Oncology. As a clinician-educator and researcher, I love teaching and learning about cancer care in new settings.
In December 2023, I had the phenomenal opportunity to visit Tata Memorial Hospital and Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, cancer centers of excellence in India.
As a speaker for the International Women’s Cancer Summit, co-hosted by PGIMER and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), I spoke about trends in gyn cancers globally, radiotherapy for cervical cancer, the importance of multiD care and survivorship.
My discussions with Drs. CS Pramesh, Gaurav Prakash, Mary McCormack, Charles Dunton, Vanita Suri and more underscored the strides that have been made in HPV vaccination, breast cancer treatment and palliative care.
Many thanks to everyone who made my visit possible and made me feel welcome!
I’m always eager to collaborate and exchange knowledge in global oncology. If you’re working on initiatives in cancer care, education, or research – let’s connect!”
