“I’m thrilled to announce the launch of a transformative video series, where the UK brought together experts from around the world, coinciding with World Cancer Day—yesterday in Australia and today in the UK.
Collaborating with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), Jen Gilchrist, BCNA Clinical Advisory Member and Nurse Practitioner, and Fatima Cardoso, President of the ABC Global Alliance, has been an incredible experience.
This initiative goes beyond amplifying voices. In Australia, we still lack a comprehensive national picture of how many people are diagnosed and living with metastatic breast cancer.
Without foundational data reported through our cancer registries, advocating for policy reform and equity of access remains a significant challenge. We are committed to working tirelessly until we have a clear understanding and can effectively advocate for those living with MBC.
Together, we strive to ensure all those diagnosed with cancer are visible within our data systems if we are to improve outcomes for those living with advanced or incurable cancer. ”
