Wafik S. El-Deiry: The results provide helpful insights as we work to understand cancer therapy induced senescence as a drug-resistance mechanism
Wafik S. El-Deiry, Director of the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University, shared on LinkedIn:
“I’m pleased to share our latest preprint manuscript by Shengliang Zhang and colleagues in Eldeiry Lab showing our over two years of collaborative studies with John Sedivy and colleagues at Brown University Center on the Biology of Aging and Benedito A. Carneiro, Lanlan Zhou.
TRAIL pathway suppression of cancer cell growth and immune cell-mediated tumor cell-killing in a senescent fibroblast-constructed tumor microenvironment.
The results provide helpful insights as we work to understand cancer therapy-induced senescence as a drug-resistance mechanism and as we work to address it with senolytic therapy and activation of innate immunity.”
