Sophie Bussmann-Kemdjo: From Nigeria to the world
Sophie Bussmann-Kemdjo, Director and Member of the Enabling Team at City Cancer Challenge Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“From Nigeria to the world!
After months of planning with our partner American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), we were privileged to have the Nigerian Government host the global launch of the second edition of the Leadership Programme for Women in Oncology (LPWO) last week in Abuja.
The launch gala event was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the endorsement by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Nigeria, Federal Capital Territory Administration, and National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment, a testimony of strong stakeholder collaboration in fostering inclusive leadership in cancer care.
Here’s to celebrating remarkable women from across City Cancer Challenge cities, full of talent and drive, as they begin their two-year LPWO journey: Hannatu Ayuba, Abuja | Mónica Ruiz Ballón, Arequipa | Carolina Belmar Caamaño, Concepcion | Sri Kisha Subramaniam, Greater Petaling | Abena Yeboah Aduse-Poku, Kumasi | Rocio García Ramos, Leon | Dr. Catherine Nyongesa, Nairobi | Dalila Vidallé, Rosario | Nino Sharikadze, Tbilisi.
Last but not least, a big shout out to Roche for partnering with us since the inception of the programme back in 2022. When women have the opportunity to lead fully, they pave the way for the next generation to imagine beyond limitations and aim higher.”
