“A milestone moment in Geneva yesterday as I attended my first UICC Board meeting as President-Elect.
Board members from 14 countries gathered to discuss strategies for expanding UICC’s impact in uniting the global fight against cancer. Together, we explored global priorities and innovative ways to better meet the needs of people living with cancer worldwide.
In line with World Cancer Day’s theme, ‘United By Unique’, we reaffirmed that our collective strength and collaboration are key to advancing equitable care and reducing the global cancer burden.
Grateful for the unwavering commitment of my colleagues on the board, the management, and our President Ulrika Årehed Kågström.”
