Sara Alkatheeri, Clinical Nutritionist at Burjeel Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“10 Cancer prevention recommendations also apply after a cancer diagnosis. This infographic shows why nutrition and exercise should be part of your treatment from the start.
AICR’s ten recommendations are not only for cancer prevention, they can be an important part of a treatment plan from the start.
Proper nutrition and physical activity are key factors in supporting recovery and improving quality of life during and after treatments. They help boost the immune system, increase energy, reduce fatigue, and improve mood and sleep.
They also contribute to reducing the side effects of treatments, maintaining a healthy weight, supporting bone health, and reducing the risk of infection or cancer recurrence.”
