Kyle David: A stark reminder of the importance of early detection, awareness, and support
Michael Sapienza, CEO of Colorectal Cancer Alliance, adding:
“As someone fighting stage 4 colorectal cancer, these rising numbers hit close to home. It’s a stark reminder of the importance of early detection, awareness, and support for patients and their families.
I’ve seen firsthand how critical these resources are, not just for survival, but for navigating the emotional and physical challenges of this disease.
The work of organizations like the Colorectal Cancer Alliance gives hope to fighters like me and so many others. But we can’t stop here. Together, we can change these statistics and create a future where fewer people have to endure this journey.”
Quoting Michael Sapienza’s post:
“A recent American Cancer Society study published in The Lancet Oncology journal shows that early-onset colorectal cancer incidence rates are rising in 27 of 50 countries/territories worldwide, including the U.S.
As we begin 2025, the Colorectal Cancer Alliance remains steadfast in its mission to end this disease through initiatives focused on raising awareness, screening, patient and family navigation/support, and research funding.
