Adrian Pogacian: MASCC Unmet Needs Assessment of Cancer-Related Cognitive Impairment Impact
Adrian Pogacian, Founder of INCKA Psycho-oncology Center, shared a post by MASCC, on LinkedIn:
“As a new member of The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) it is my pleasure to share this important work of my friend Darren Haywood.
The MASCC COG-IMPACT is the first purpose-built multi-domain unmet needs assessment for cancer-related cognitive impairment impact. It is a fit-for-purpose self-report tool that assesses the difficulties and unmet needs directly related to CRCI.
The tool is designed to support health professionals in providing highly individualized and optimal care to cancer survivors as well as facilitate appropriate referral, support service provision, guide further assessment, and inform clinical and healthcare discussions. The MASCC COG-IMPACT can also be used by researchers aiming to better understand, or minimize the impact of, cancer-related cognitive impairment on the lives of cancer survivors.”
