American Cancer Society – Increasing awareness of the HPV vaccine to build a world free of HPV-related cancers
American Cancer Society shared on LinkedIn:
“Cancer knows no geographical borders and is the second leading cause of death worldwide. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections cause up to six types of cancer, but together, we can stop it. Between 2023 and 2024 the American Cancer Society funded eight HPV-related research projects, driving progress in prevention, detection, treatment, and survivorship.
By funding vital research and implementing programs, we are able to increase awareness of the HPV vaccine, train healthcare providers, and partner with local cancer organizations. Collaboration, education, higher vaccine availability and lower cost is how we build a world free of HPV-related cancers. Together, we have the power to eliminate HPV cancers globally.”
