Lisa A. Lacasse: ACS CAN Calls on 119th Congress to Fund Innovation in Cancer Research and Prevention
Lisa A. Lacasse shared on LinkedIn:
“This year, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) continues its commitment to advocating for cancer patients, survivors and their families. While the U.S. invests in development of innovative treatments, Congress must also ensure people have access to these cancer developments through affordable, meaningful health care coverage.
Research shows that uninsured individuals in America are less likely to get screened for cancer and thus more likely to have their cancer diagnosed at an advanced stage when survival is less likely and the cost of care more expensive. With that in mind, ensuring the maintenance of affordable, quality health care coverage is one of ACS CAN’s top priorities this year, as it has long been. Read more of what we are asking of the 119th Congress.”
