Karen Knudsen: What cancer care will look like in 2030

Karen Knudsen, Executive Strategic Advisor and Immediate Past CEO of the American Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Still hard to believe it’s 2025, but Advisory Board already has us thinking about what cancer care will look like in 2030.

I think we all agree that the future of cancer care is evolving rapidly, and artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to play a transformative role in addressing changing trends across the cancer continuum– from enhancing early detection to personalizing treatment plans and optimizing clinical workflows, AI has the potential to improve patient outcomes at scale.

It’s clear that we need to be ready for predictive analytics, machine learning, and decision-support tools are reshaping the cancer care landscape.

As we face rising cancer rates and the complexities of delivering equitable care, harnessing AI is not just an opportunity—it’s a necessity.

I’m looking forward to seeing how these 4 predictions hold up, and to being part of the change!

Advisory Board predictions here.”
