Arif Kamal: Reducing suffering from cancer….takes all of us
Arif Kamal, Chief Patient Officer for the American Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Reducing suffering from cancer….takes all of us.
One of most genuine people I know is American Cancer Society Board of Directors member Sean Farnham, college basketball analyst for ESPN.
Recently, in words more eloquent and touching than anything I could have said, Sean discussed the magic of the Hope Lodge communities on a recent broadcast from Hawaii. Indeed, the Honolulu Hope Lodge is a crucial lynchpin for people in the Pacific accessing cutting-edge cancer care.
Growing the Hope Lodge footprint in the Mountain West and West Coast of the US exemplifies our commitment to reducing disparities in rural and frontier areas by giving people a home away from home.”
