Betty Roggenkamp, AYA Program Development Strategist at Teen Cancer America, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Want to learn more about what it takes for young adults (AYA) to survive cancer? Hint: it takes much more than cancer treatment.
Join the Cancer Survivorship Provider Network’s 2025 focus with their Coffee Talk, Adventures in AYA, a collaborative AYA awareness and provider education effort with Teen Cancer America.
Kickoff is Tues Jan 7, 12 pm ET, with Scott Capozza who works as a physical therapist dedicated to oncology rehabilitation at Smilow Cancer Hospital at the Yale Cancer Center and he is also an AYA cancer survivor.
Learn more about Scott’s story through his article: ‘Patient is Otherwise Healthy’ published in JCO Oncology Practice on June 25, 2024.
If you’re not a member of CSPN, join, it’s free and an amazing collaborative in the Cancer Survivorship realm. If you want to join this discussion and are not a member, happy to make attending possible, reach to me directly.”
Scott Capozza, Physical Therapist at Yale New Haven Health, shared this post, adding:
“Thank you Cancer Survivorship Provider Network and Teen Cancer America for having me kick off 2025’s Coffee Talks. Looking forward to diving into the late effects and long-term survivorship needs of AYAs, as well generating some ideas of how we can better address these concerns.”
