Monica Bertagnolli: I recently welcomed Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland to NIH

Monica Bertagnolli, Director of the National Institute of Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I recently welcomed Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland to NIH for the Federal Indian Boarding School Healing Summit.

This gathering of scientific leaders, community practitioners and boarding school survivors aims to identify initiatives to address the inter-generational trauma caused by the Indian Civilization Act and federal boarding school policies on American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities.

NIH is honored to support this healing effort.”
