Megan-Claire Chase: The challenges of being a Black AYA cancer survivor
Megan-Claire Chase, Breast Cancer Program Director for SHARE Cancer Support and Freelance Writer for Various Companies, shared on LinkedIn:
“This is one of my favorite Oncology Data Advisors podcast appearances talking about AYA cancer. I always appreciate that they support frank and honest discussions.
Listen/watch
For my part, I delved into the challenges of being a Black AYA cancer survivor and not feeling seen or even missed when I stepped away from certain organizations because I was too often the only one of color. I also talked about the need for more support once you age out of AYA but are still too young to be considered ‘old.'”
